What we do, and how we do it

Six services. Every one of them priced in writing before a technician starts, and every one of them explained in plain language while we are standing there.

Technician reading refrigerant pressures on a manifold gauge set connected to an outdoor condenser. Repair
Service 01

Air conditioning repair

Most calls are one of half a dozen things, and most of them are cheaper than people fear. The expensive mistake is replacing parts by guesswork until something works.

  • Capacitors, contactors and relays
  • Condenser and blower fan motors
  • Refrigerant leak search, recovery and recharge
  • Frozen coils and airflow faults
  • Condensate drains and overflow switches
  • Thermostats, wiring and control boards

How the fee works: a flat diagnostic charge covers the visit and the diagnosis, and it comes off the repair if you go ahead. We tell you the number on the phone before we come out.

Service 02

Installation & replacement

An install is mostly decisions made before anything is unboxed: what size, where it goes, what the existing ducting can actually carry, and how the condensate gets away. Get those right and the equipment is almost the easy part.

Sizing
Calculated from the house — square footage, orientation, glazing, insulation and how many people actually live there. Oversized equipment short-cycles, never dehumidifies and dies young.
Placement
Setbacks, the noise ordinance, salt exposure and the neighbour's bedroom window. All four get checked before we put a number on paper.
Paperwork
Permit pulled, Title 24 documentation prepared, inspection scheduled, closed permit handed over. Plus the rebate paperwork where the equipment qualifies.

Service 03

Ductless mini-splits

Our most common project, because of what the housing stock down here looks like. One outdoor unit can usually serve two to five indoor heads, and each room is controlled on its own.

  • Whole-house systems for homes with no ducting
  • Single-room units for garages, ADUs, additions and offices
  • Wall, ceiling-cassette and low-wall indoor heads
  • Line-set routing planned to keep the outside of the house tidy
  • Condensate pumps where gravity drainage is not possible

Technician inspecting the burner assembly and heat exchanger inside an opened residential furnace. Heating
Service 04

Heating & heat pumps

Nobody moves to Redondo Beach for the winters, but a damp 48°F morning in an uninsulated 1950s house is genuinely cold. Heating gets used more than people admit.

This climate is also close to ideal for a heat pump. Temperatures almost never drop low enough to hurt efficiency, and one piece of equipment then covers both directions — which is exactly what a mini-split already does.

  • Furnace service and repair
  • Heat-exchanger and flue inspection
  • Wall and floor furnace replacement
  • Heat-pump conversions
Insulated flexible duct runs and a sheet-metal plenum in a tight residential crawlspace. Ductwork
Service 05

Ductwork

If one room is never comfortable, the ducting is the first suspect, not the equipment. Older South Bay homes often have runs that were added piecemeal over decades — crushed flex, disconnected boots, a return that is far too small for the system.

  • Leak testing and sealing at the joints and boots
  • Replacing crushed, disconnected or degraded flexible duct
  • Adding or enlarging returns where the blower is starved
  • Register and diffuser changes to balance a difficult room
Clean pleated media filter being slid into a filter cabinet beside an indoor air handler. Air
Service 06

Air quality & filtration

The marine layer keeps coastal houses damp in a way inland houses never are. Combine that with a tightly sealed remodel and you get condensation, musty closets and air that never really changes.

  • Deeper media filter cabinets
  • Humidity control and dehumidification
  • Bathroom and kitchen ventilation that actually works
  • Fresh-air ventilation for tight remodels
And one habit

Maintenance, which matters more here than inland

A yearly visit is worth more within a mile of the water than it is in the valley, because salt is doing quiet damage the whole time the equipment is sitting there.

  • Condenser coil rinsed and inspected for corrosion
  • Refrigerant charge verified against superheat and subcool
  • Capacitor readings taken against the rating, not just eyeballed
  • Contactor condition, terminal tightness and amp draws
  • Condensate pan, trap and line cleared and treated
  • Filters changed and sizes written down for next time
